By reserving gear from Alki Goods, Renter agrees to the following terms:

1. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are only eligible for a refund when the cancellation request is received by Alki Goods at least 48 hours prior to the reservation start time. Email alkigoodsseattle@gmail.com to cancel your reservation.

2. No Show Policy: Gear reservations that go unused are not eligible for refunds.

3. Cleaning Fee: Renter will return the gear clean and in acceptable rental condition to the best of their ability. Gear requiring cleaning to make it fit for rental will incur a $50 cleaning fee.

4. Late Returns: Renter will return the gear within the agreed rental period. Late gear return impacts other users and will incur a $50/hour late fee.

5. Lost or Damaged Gear: Renter is responsible for the retail replacement cost of any gear that is lost or damaged beyond normal wear and tear during the rental period. If gear is lost, Alki Goods will purchase a replacement promptly to minimize disruption for future renters, and the Renter will be charged the replacement cost. If gear is damaged but repairable, Alki Goods will assess whether the damage affects safety or usability for future rentals. Minor damage that does not affect function may not require replacement. If damage is significant enough to require replacement, the Renter will be charged the replacement cost, and the damaged item will be made available to the Renter to keep if desired.

6. Changes to Existing Reservations: A $10 administrative fee applies to modify an existing reservation. To add items to a reservation, please place a new reservation rather than modifying the existing one.

7. Gear Delivery/Return: Gear will be delivered to Alki Beach on the sand across from 54th Pl SW (exact pin location provided at booking). Look for the gear labeled "Alki Goods." Gear must be packed up and left as it was found at the end of the rental period. Please text 206-963-4042 when finished with the rental, and let us know of any damage so we can be aware of it prior to renting to the next guest.

8. Weather/Conditions Policy: Reservations are not eligible for refunds or credits due to weather, wind, surf, or other natural conditions. Alki Beach conditions can change quickly and are outside of Alki Goods' control. Renters are encouraged to check forecasts before their reservation and dress/plan accordingly. If conditions make gear unsafe to use (e.g., high wind advisories), Renter assumes responsibility for deciding whether to use the gear and accepts all associated risk.

9. Minimum Age Requirement: Renter must be at least 18 years of age to reserve and rent gear from Alki Goods. Valid government-issued photo ID may be requested to confirm eligibility at the time of pickup. Reservations made under false age information may be canceled without refund.

10. Assumption of Risk; Release of Liability: Renter acknowledges that use of beach equipment rented from Alki Goods (including but not limited to water and outdoor recreational gear) involves inherent risks, including risks related to water conditions, wind, surf, sand, sun exposure, and use by or around other beachgoers. Renter voluntarily assumes all risk of injury, illness, death, or property damage arising from or related to the use of the gear. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renter releases and holds harmless Alki Goods, its owner, and its representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the use of rented gear, except where caused by the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of Alki Goods. Renter is responsible for inspecting gear prior to use and for using gear in a manner appropriate to their own skill level and the conditions present.
